House Note — On This Piece

The cap is what you wear when you haven’t washed your hair.

That’s the whole brief. We made it from a cotton twill that we then washed twice to soften — the way a baseball cap looks after two summers, but on day one. The brim is curved, not flat. The crown is low. The eyebrow embroidery is tonal — cream on sand, navy on navy, deep red on rust — visible up close, quiet from a few feet away.

The strap is cotton webbing with a solid brass buckle that ages slowly. There are six brass eyelets, each covered in matching cloth so the metal doesn’t catch on a sweater. One size, fits most heads with a half-inch adjustment range.

Three colourways — Sand, Rust, Navy. Available individually. The Rust came from a wall at the Hôtel du Cap. The Navy was found on a dashboard in Bellagio. The Sand is the one you reach for first.
