House Note — On This Piece

One bag, fits one weekend.

The dimensions are non-negotiable: 46 × 38 × 18 cm. That’s the largest carry-on that’s ever been allowed under a cabin seat — including the smaller regional jets that go to Nice. It will also hold the canvas Out of Office Tote inside of it, if you want a bag-within-a-bag.

The canvas is woven in Aveiro at a mill that’s been making sail cloth since the 1960s — 18 oz per square yard, heavy enough to stand up empty. The base is doubled and reinforced, the seams are bound, the handles are bridle leather from Tuscany, attached with brass rivets that will tarnish slowly and well.

One run. When this one is gone, it returns next spring — or it doesn’t. Request access to receive word.
